Facial wrinkle treatment - cosmetic injections

Wrinkles are the lines and creases that form in your skin and make you look tired or older. Wrinkles are a natural part of aging. Environmental exposures such as sun, heat, wind, dust and smoking can be major contributors to wrinkles but now you have more options than ever to remove them completely or have them treated. Depending on their origin we differentiate between dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles occur when we use our muscles to form facial expressions. During facial expressions or movements such as smiling, frowning, talking or eating our muscles contract and cause our skin to wrinkle. These wrinkles can be treated well with Botox, a neurotoxin that temporarily weakens specifically targeted muscles thereby eliminating wrinkles or softening the appearance of already formed dynamic wrinkles such.

Static wrinkles happen due to the lack of elasticity of the skin caused by environmental exposure or from prolonged dynamic wrinkling. Static facial wrinkles are visible regardless of muscle contraction - they stay (hence the name static) even when the muscles are completely relaxed. In those cases very good results are achieved by using injectable dermal fillers such as hyaluronic acid, human fat (fat grafting) or other natural filler substances. When injecting dermal fillers - a procedure that is sometimes referred to as »liquid facelifting« - we inject those fillers just under the skin in order to add volume to aging skin and to lift wrinkles and folds. Dermal filler injections provide you with that instant rejuvenation effect without leaving scars. Dermal fillers are nonpermanent. What that means is that your body will absorb the filler within a certain period of time. Should you be aiming for a long lasting result then you will have to repeat the dermal filler injection procedure in regular intervals.
